Discharge’s “Why?” & “Hear Nothing See Nothing Say Nothing” Albums Get Expanded Reissues

Discharge‘s classic Why? and Hear Nothing See Nothing Say Nothing albums are getting a welcome expanded reissue courtesy of Cherry Red Records and Captain Oi! Records on the 9th August. The double 45 track CD features all of the best known and most influential tracks by the hardcore punk legends. This is more than just a CD reissue, these are the songs that influenced two generations of metal with the likes of Metallica, Anthrax, Sepultura, Soulfly and Arch Enemy all covering songs featured on this release.

Disc one has the 1981 Why? mini album along with a dozen bonus tracks, including the Realities Of War, Fight Back and Decontrol singles. The second disc features their 1982 debut full length, Hear Nothing See Nothing Say Nothing, that features nine bonus tracks including the Never Again, State Violence State Control and Warning singles. The album is accompanied by a booklet that contains lyrics to all of the songs along with scans of all relevant picture sleeves. Discharge are still active and the band’s current line up are on tour in Europe across the remainder of 2024 with upcoming dates in the UK, Spain and Portugal with more to be confirmed.
