Download Festival is by far the largest of its kind in the UK and always attracts some of the biggest artists to its vast arena every year. This year is no exception, and we at The Punksite will be there to bring you some of the goss and special moments from the Punkier side of the tracks.  If you didn’t get your ticket for the now sold out Rebellion Festival, or maybe you just wanted a chilled out Glastonbury that isn’t on this year, then this is your chance to take in a monster line up at Download 2026!

Last years festival was a triumph for the organisers Live Nation and every single member of the team that worked hard behind the scenes to bring a safe and friendly environment for everyone that attends.  Some of the many many highlights for ourselves included a headline from Green Day that rivalled anything from any other festival that year, we talked to so many converts to a band that smashed it out of the park, then there were performances from the like of Weezer, Rise Against, The Sex Pistols, Jimmy Eat World, The Meffs, Venus Grrrls, Spiritual Cramps, and of course Battle Snake to name a few.

This Year the monster festival line up not only includes Limp Bizkit, Guns N Roses and Linkin Park, but where else will our punk friends mix with metal royalty and also see bands like Cyprus Hill, Feeder, All American Rejects, Social Distortion, The Pretty Reckless, Ash, and even Scooter. But also some of the worlds best mix of Rock, Metal, Death Metal, Punk and everything in between all on one site and some top events for everyone throughout the whole 5 days that you can camp, glamp, ultra glamp, singles camping, quite camping, or like ourselves make use of the RIP camping huts, what ever your comfort zone is they have it and always safe!.

If you have never thought of trying this festival out and maybe even think its too big for you, we really recommend taking a look, it can be as big or as small as you want it to be, there are so many ways to enjoy this festival beyond the vast main arena.
