A DIY ethic, rooted in diligence and hard work has underpinned Black Suit Youth‘s rise, whether it be on record or the band’s live shows, which have seen them support big hitters such as Alien Ant Farm, The Undead & Story of The Year, as well as a raft of high-energy headline runs. Since the release of 2010 LP, Meet Me In Death Valley, the New York outfit have torn up the rule book, with a deft and engaging blend of punk rock and indie that sits alongside throwback classic rock vibes.
To close off a busy 2021, Black Suit Youth returned to the studio to record a stripped back, heart-on-sleeve three-track EP, Darkness, that is being streamed today exclusively via The Punk Site. The band’s latest release is as indelibly heart-on-sleeve and accessible as their previous offerings and follows on from the release of Black Suit Youth’s latest full length, The World Is Almost Over, that boasted relatable lyricism, cascading alternative rock guitars and punchy, hook-laden indie vibes.
