Belgian punk trio Fervents have announced that their new EP, Plastic Snake Factory, will be released on 4th October via Capitane Records. To celebrate the news, the band have revealed a Freehouse Session live performance video featuring their forthcoming single, Let Go, that is set for release on the 12th June, and the previously released Faith. Let Go is a testament to resilience and the transformative power of finding the strength to move forward towards a new horizon. Against a backdrop of heavy instrumentals, the band’s delivery captures the urgency and determination of reclaiming your life, whilst previously-released Faith is about seeking a “promised land” and leaving everything behind.
A punk band from Liège in the south-east of Belgium, Fervents are intent on setting out their stall as a serious international touring prospect. Two years after the release of their self-titled 2021 debut EP, the band returned to the studio to record five rougher, darker songs inspired by the grunge and hardcore punk scene. Plastic Snake Factory was produced by Ben Hampson, recorded by Laurent Eyen at Koko Studio and mastered by Katie Tavini. Across the five tracks on the EP, anchored by abrupt rhythms and unstoppable melodies, the band’s three voices speak out in unison against current social conformism, the struggle against everyday addictions, and the quest for a better life.
