St Louis, MI’s Fight Back Mountain have today released their third full length, Death & The Miser, that compiles twelve fired up dispatches that document life on the ground in flyover country. At the album’s core lies lyricist & guitarist Anjelica Aquilino‘s dawning realization that everything she was told growing up is no longer true. Her lyrics harness the voices of the disillusioned residents of the midwest as opportunities dwindle and infrastructure crumble. As such Death & The Miser is a soul-searching attempt to make sense of where Aquilino, and her peers, belong in the universe. Elsewhere highs and lows loom large as a quest for mental wellbeing weaves through all the band’s output.
