Futhermuckers Have “Finally Made An Album”

Formed in the Summer of 2020, Futhermuckers were a three piece alt punk band based in Benidorm, Spain. After releasing a debut four track EP in February 2021 andplaying a series of local gigs the band split in May of 2022 due to irreconcilable differences. Not wanting to let Futhermuckers disappear, guitarist & vocalist Des Butcher decided to continue as a solo project, even learning to play bass in order to record the songs he had written for the band. Twelve months later he has so far released eleven songs onto streaming platforms as Futhermuckers, including collaborations with Punky Ruckus & The Space Sharks. The band has now Finally Made An Album that is available exclusively on Bandcamp until October when it will be released through streaming platforms, the band also has half a dozen new singles that they plan to release throughout the remainder of 2023.

With the addition recently of drummer Jozz Fernandez and Nina Verkuil on bass, Futhermuckers is a full band once again, and aim to be back performing live again in the near future. Before the birth of Futhermuckers, frontman Des Butcher earned a living not as a musician, but as a stagehand and local crew chief working on the main stages of such prestigious festivals as Glastonbury, Download, V Fest, Reading and Radio 1 Big Weekend as well as hundreds of gigs at major and minor venues around the UK.
