Bristol, UK noise punk quartet Heavy Lungs start the year as they mean to go on today by announcing a Spring UK Tour ’24 that follows on from their European tour dates that kick off on April 1st, tickets for all dates go on sale at 10am on Friday 16th February. To celebrate the news, the four piece have also revealed a video for their latest single, Plagiarism, which is taken from their 2023 debut album, All Gas No Brakes, that is available via Alcopop! Records.

“The spring will be springing and our ears are still ringing. Soon yours will be as well, because your boiz are back on the road in the UK. We’re hitting up some cities we’ve never played before which is terribly exciting. We won’t stop until we’ve covered every single sweaty corner of this island. This video for ‘Plagiarism’ is in no way a playful reference to a film by a famous artist whose name rhymes with Randy Pothole. That would be way too on the nose and when did Heavy Lungs ever do anything like that? Filmed and edited by our very own George Garratt. Special thanks to James Maclucas, Rosie Lea, and Rich Wilks.”

Recorded at Holy Mountain Studios with additional production at Humm Studios by Chris Fullard and Stanley Gravett, Heavy Lungs‘ debut album was mastered by Adam Gonsalves at Telegraph Audio. Across the record the band examine topics of anxiety, guilt, and mental health, but they’re never too far away from that healthy dose of Heavy Lungs humour. Be it redefining plagiarism and really making it their own, or musing on the inevitability of growing old and uncool, there’s a sense of mischief throughout.
