Indie Rock Vs. The World (Battle of the Bands)
In conjunction with the upcoming Michael Cera film, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World (which hits theaters on August 13th), SonicBids and Universal Pictures are sponsoring a Battle of the Bands: Indie Rock vs. The World; a contest where bands will battle “for their honor and love of music.”
The winning band will get a trip to California and the opportunity to perform live at a Scott Pilgrim-themed event this summer, and have their video included as a special feature on the DVD release of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Top 8 finalists will also receive an Mbox® 2 Pro Factory recording package from Avid, valued at $89.! Band submission deadline is May 3, 2010.
