Kid Kapichi Release New Album “Here’s What You Could Have Won”
The Hastings, Uk based four peice, Kid Kapichi, have today released their brand new album, Here’s What You Could Have Won, via Spinefarm Records. The album was co-produced with Dom Craik (Nothing But Thieves) and features eleven new songs that showcase the band’s bigger, punchier ‘beat punk’ sound and explore racism, in-work poverty, mental health, violence, frustration and all-consuming love with honesty and humour.
Here’s What You Could Have Won also includes the comeback single New England, their most explicitly political song yet that also features Bob Vylan, and the Partygate polemic Party At No. 10 that brutally dissects the xenophobic Little England mentality.
“The title, ‘Here’s What You Could Have Won’ sums up the feeling of missed opportunity. Being dragged right at a junction when you know you should be going left or screaming at the TV whilst someone picks the wrong answer on a game show. It looks inwardly at the UK and the decisions that have been made and how they have affected us all.” (frontman Jack Wilson)
Kid Kapichi will also be playing a very special album release show on September 23rd at the iconic De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill-on-sea and will be supporting The Hunna on their upcoming October UK tour.
