Ahead of releasing their highly anticipated new album, There Goes the Neighbourhood, on the 15th March via Spinefarm Records, beat-punk sensations Kid Kapichi have released yet another anthem with their new single, Zombie Nation. Starting in the studio as an ode to The Specials legend, Terry Hall on his sad passing, Zombie Nation grew into a Two Tone style anthem for a disenfranchised generation. There was only one person they could hope to have as a guest appearance and that was Madness frontman Suggs. The video was shot in the band’s hometown of Hastings and features a Shaun Of The Dead style zombie apocalypse in which Suggs (as well as everyone else) succumbs to a zombie invasion.
“We always felt that those 2-tone albums were as relevant today as they were when they were written so we just ran with that vibe talking about post-Brexit Britain. Once we managed to get Suggs to join, it just got sent into another dimension. What an honour it is to work with an icon like him! It was one of the most mental videos we’ve ever filmed. Hastings fully became a post-apocalyptic hellscape for the day. More than usual anyway. The team who worked on it went above and beyond and have created something we’ll be proud of even once we’re 6 feet deep until we come back again.” (vocalist & guitarist Jack Wilson).

“I ‘ad a right old bubble with the Kid Kapichi boys recording this ditty and video. All dressed as zombies and messing around. Total madness. Give it a listen!” (Suggs)

Kid Kapichi will also hit the road in 2024 with UK, European and US headline tours to celebrate the release of There Goes The Neighbourhood, you can view the tour dates and purchase tickets here
