Kiska Sign With Spartan Records, Detail New LP

Philadelphia alt-punks Kiska (formerly known as Desoto Jones) have joined the Spartan Records family. The quartet’s first release for their new label will be their self titled debut full length, due to drop in the autumn. Brothers Owen and Adam Staszewski (who share vocal and guitar duties) have said this about the band’s name change:

“It evoked an image in our heads of an isolated place separated by water from an already cold and isolated place [Alaska],” (said Adam) “The mood and sound of the album is also a reflection of the name [Kiska] — heavy, majestic, desolate, and ominous,” (adds his brother Owen).
