For today’s dose of odd news, the lizard man, Eric Sprague, has announced that he will be releasing an album under the group name Lizard Skynard.  Sprague is known internationally for his dedication to his own tattoo work, which has led to over 700 hours of ink on his skin.  Combined with his forked tongue, he has become known as the lizard man for his now reptilian appearance, and has made appearances on Ripley’s Believe It Or Not, and is set to make another debut this November in Orlando’s “Odditorim” wax museum.

Lizard Skynard‘s self titled album is due out October 19, 2010, and was recorded at Electrical Audio studios with Greg Norman (Russian Circles, Pelican, Neurosis, Shellac) and mastered at Chicago Mastering with Jason Ward (Big Black, Jesus Lizard, Deerhunter).
