Andy Guttercat Takes On Spunk Volcano & The Eruption’s “Platform 3”
Coventry UKʼs Andy Guttercat (Malias / Firefly / Fridayz Angelz / The Guttercats) has released his new single, a high energy cover…
Taking Back Sunday bassist Matt Rubano has announced he has left the band. Rubano joined the band in 2003 replacing Shaun Cooper and first appeared on the album Where You Want To Be. The band isn’t on tour or recording so it’s likely we have seen the last of Rubano and Taking Back Sunday together. No information on a replacement has been announced.
Rubano will be replaced by his predecessor Shaun Cooper and returning guitar/vocalist John Nolan. Both Cooper and Nolan left Taking Back Sunday in 2003 to focus on their new project Straylight Run. In February they announced Straylight Run is taking an indefinite hiatus due to financial issues.

After seven years I’m sad to announce that I will no longer be playing the bass with Taking Back Sunday. I would like to thank Adam, Eddie and Mark for giving me this amazing opportunity that changed my life. I am proud of the music we made together and cherished every moment of it. And to Taking Back Sunday fans, there isn’t anything I can say that will express the way I feel toward you. It’s literally been a dream come true and you were the cast of that dream. I am happy to have met and befriended so many of you. I will miss you all.
