“Metazombies In Zpace” Pilot Episode Lands

Punk rock meets outer space in Metazombies in Zpace, a new animated cartoon series that just wrapped production of its pilot episode. The show features a motley crew of punk rock zombies who travel from planet to planet in the Zpace galaxy in search of gigs, new friends, and whatever trouble they can find along the way. There’s also an arch villain who’s a lot like a real life bully billionaire many of us know and loathe. In the pilot episode, punk rock protagonist Sanchez learns that his backstabbing band mates and their new conniving manager will be going on tour without him. Sanchez is devastated but his best friend Durk is able to convince him to launch their own multi-planetary tour with no back-up band, no booked gigs, and no money. What could possibly go wrong?

Charlottetown skate-punk band, TeethOut, recorded the Metazombies in Zpace theme song and allowed their original music to be used in the pilot episode’s sound design, bringing fast riffs and shout-along energy to match the show’s loud, rebellious spirit.
