So last week I got the release date wrong on this one and spilled the beans a week early, so I’m going to try again… In a move that can only be described as wholly unnecessary, Oakland, CA’s Middle-Aged Queers, the beloved LGBTQ+ punk band known for their unapologetic sound and belligerently joyful live shows, have released their new album, Greatest Hits, on vinyl and through streaming platforms, with an exclusive vinyl variant available through Sell The Heart Records (US) & Engineer Records (UK). The album is a collection of previously unreleased cover songs recorded over the past four years, ranging from contemporary pop classics to deep cuts from punk rock’s past.

“Over the past four years, Middle-Aged Queers has concluded our recording sessions by covering one or two songs, if time allowed. By the end of 2025, we realized we had enough material to do a collection of previously unreleased covers, which we decided to title ‘Greatest Hits’ as a self-deprecating nod to the fact that we don’t actually have any hits of our own! That’s show business for you!” (vocalist Shaun Osburn)
