Connecticut trio Perennial are pleased to reveal the video for their new single, Mouthful of Bees, which is out now through digital platforms. The video comes ahead of the band’s forthcoming December 2024 UK headline tour. The band’s ferocious live show has already become the stuff of DIY legend in the US with its short bursts of manic energy with barely a moment to catch your breath. “‘Mouthful Of Bees’ has become a live staple for us and a nice, compact showcase of what we do: quick, sharp, and groovy. A minute and a half that lands somewhere between The Blood Brothers and Small Faces.” (guitarist Chad Jewett)
Perennial’s sound is built from the sharp minimalism of guitar, electric organ, and drums, a kinetic collage of mod pop, 90s post-hardcore, post-bop jazz and 60s soul. The trio’s new album, Art History, was released earlier this year via Ernest Jenning Record Co. in the US and Safe Suburban Home in the UK and is available everywhere that chic modernist punk is sold.
