Punks In Vegas Release Two Free Compilations
After the holidays, Punks In Vegas released two free compilations full of local music from 2014 and 2015. Check out Blast of Silence 2014 and Blast of Silence 2015.
The compilations named after the Allen Baron Christmas/noir classic feature 60 plus local bands out of Las Vegas, Nev., with genres ranging from punk, indie, ska, metal, emo, folk and hardcore. Bands included are Caravels (Topshelf), Alaska (Speak Soft) and Stolas (Blue Swan) to name a few.
Punks in Vegas founder Steven Matview said:
“Blast of Silence is designed to be an annual celebration of the Las Vegas music scene. We’re excited to show off the talent and diversity that exists in our city to as wide an audience as possible.”
Cover art for both compilations were also designed by local artists and musicians.
