Brooklyn Indie Punks Sadlands who feature members of Answering Machine, Choke Up and Ellen & The Degenerates, have released their debut album, Try To Have A Little Fun, via Wiretap Records. Blending shimmering feedback, dueling vocals, pleading lyrics, and searing guitar leads. Sadlands deliver a sound that thrives on both vulnerability and catharsis and showcases the band’s signature mix of jangly guitars, raw honesty, and melodic punch. Sadlands will also be appearing The Fest in Gainesville, FL on the 26th October.

“These songs reflect finding balance in being a school teacher by day and musician by night. I wrote with the intention of exploring how I could further challenge myself vocally. It was fun to have the space to ‘go off’ and convey emotions I felt through these songs. Harley and Louis are an unstoppable force together as a rhythm section, and they’ve helped Jess and I turn our ideas into big bad rock songs. We’re all really excited to share these songs with the world.” (guitarist & songwriter Sam Campanile)
