Alongside the single release, the band have announced that their new album, Shit the Bed, will be arriving on October 23rd via Fat Wreck Chords and is available for pre-order here. Shit the Bed features eleven unforgettable covers, including It’s Raining Men, Rhinestone Cowboy, Hey Ya!, I Want It That Way, Rio, Kokomo, Fame, Think I’m In Love, I’ll Make Love To You, and the previously released lead single, We Are The World. Spike & The Gimme Gimmes will also be appearing at Montreal leg of the Warped Tour this weekend and will be heading out on tour in the EU in October and November.

“Take it from me, Spike…  GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN. Allow me to mansplain: the Gimme Gimmes have just scattered the finishing-jimmies on our brand-newest of slightly-burnt offerings entitled, Spike and the Gimme Gimmes Shit the Bed, and we aim to be the fun you wanna have. The newest single from our forthcoming release is the classic, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, and it features Karina Denike (Dance Hall Crashers) as well as the women of Bad Cop Bad Cop screaming said fun straight into your earholes. Be honest… Was it as fun for you as it was for us?” (frontman Spike Slawson)
