Leeds, UK melodic punk quartet Sunliner have announced their return with their upcoming single, the Frank Turner produced single, Special Place In Hell, that is set for release on the 15th September. To celebrate the news the band are streaming the b-side, Old Habits, in full, the track is an anthemic score of melodic punk which is out now and available through all good digital service providers.
“‘Old Habits’ came together really quickly, having our own practice space has given us an amazing chance to workshop our songs and really explore each part and experiment with structures. Lyrically, it’s from the perspective of somebody towards the end of their life, reflecting and struggling with their situation and ultimately giving advice never to waste a moment.” (front man Jake McAlister)
Following up on their 2020 release, Structure / Average At Best, Sunliner teamed up with renowned punk folk troubadour Frank Turner who helped to bring their latest singles to fruition producing and engineering the material. Camera in hand, the band documented their time in the studio with Turner, compiling footage together to form the music video for Old Habits.
