Southern California trio SWEAT are continuing to blaze their own path with a kinetic, punchy style of hardcore punk dripping in rock ‘n roll attitude. Formed in 2019, SWEAT is comprised of vocalist Tuna Tardugno, guitarist/bassist Justin Smith and drummer Anthony Rivera, who have all spent time playing in bands such as Dangers, Graf Orlock and Dogteeth. The band recently announced that their bombastic sophomore album, Love Child, is set for release on March 15th on Smith’s long running imprint, Vitriol Records. Ahead the album’s release SWEAT have now unleashed White Nectarines, a ferocious new song with a serious societal message about acceptance and judgment.

The unrelenting riffs and blazing fast playing from Smith and Rivera underscore the angry and anguished delivery of Tardugno’s message. Fans of bands like The Rival Mob and Hot Snakes will all find something to love in this new song, while also discovering a band who thrives on having a unique approach to the genre. Collaborating with producer and sometimes second guitarist Jack Shirley at The Atomic Garden, the band laid down endless demos before honing in on the ten tracks that make up Love Child. Addressing everything from healthcare to politics to their love of the hardcore scene, SWEAT are carving out a place for themselves in the alternative music landscape. The band will celebrate the release of their new album in Los Angeles at The Echo on March 17th followed by a European tour.
