Back around 2010, The Bangs went into the studio to record a demo, luckily somebody left the tape running. Re-discovered and re-mastered over a decade later by Nub Records‘ Mark Lee, their debut album “The Last Of The Big Shots” will be available to download on 3rd April. From the debut single ‘Livin’ In Hope‘ to the album closer ‘Our Sun Has Set‘, the album contains nine tales of urban life, nine tales about drinking, womanizing and love and loss. The band split up after a handful of gigs and line-up changes and then in 2017, after years in the musical wilderness, songwriter and guitarist Paul Jones suffered a life-threatening double stroke that led to months of hospital treatment and then many more months of painstaking rehab, from which he is now remarkably almost fully recovered.
