The Dollyrots Cover Festive Classic “I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday”
The Dollyrots have released their annual single Christmas single, this years it's a full on Holiday sugar rush as they…
Taking up the penultimate spot in The Punk Site’s 2023 Top 40 are The Iron Roses with their debut album, The Iron Roses, that was released in October via SBÄM Records & Iodine Records. The Iron Roses are a passionate, unique and beautiful group of people making music that they hope will change the world. Fueled by the injustices of our current times, their songs are the kind of protest anthems that only a group of seasoned musicians could make. Still angry, still driven, and still screaming. This is a band that will never give up the fight.
The 11 songs on the album are more than words carefully paired with notes, they are statements of their values, lines in the sand, and an assurance that they refuse to lay down and take what the systems around us insist we should be grateful for. They are protest songs. They are hymns of resistance.
“Every track is melodic punk perfection, lyrically challenging but musically letting loose. Each of the eleven tracks delivers a defiant manifesto that you can dance into the dark times to. This is perfect cathartic punk rock, by becoming a collective rather than a vehicle for the singer The Iron Roses have delivered one of the best and most important albums you will hear this year. Society won’t change in a day, but with bands like The Iron Roses delivering the message then minds might start to change, any kind of utopia is off the table for the foreseeable future, but maybe, just maybe we can start a snowball effect. Things aren’t looking that bright right now, but the future remains unwritten.” (Phinky)
