The SoapGirls consist of French-born, South African-raised sisters Noemie Debray (Mie) (guitar, vocals) & Camille Debray (Mille) (bass guitar, vocals). The fearless siblings began their music career as child street performers at ages 8 and 9, roaming the streets of Cape Town singing whilst selling handmade soap for charity, earning the name The SoapGirls.

Early in their professional career, The SoapGirls were a dance pop act signed to the South African branch of Universal Music Group where they scored a South African number one hit album Xperience (2011). Due to their lack of creative control, & the mechanisms & soulless marketing machinery of their major label, The SoapGirls decided not to compromise, instead following their hearts and their passion, rock ’n roll.

Breathe, the first single from their upcoming fourth album In My Skin, is a romper stomper of pure, dynamic, rock ‘n roll that is released today. The duo’s uncompromising style and attitude, along with their excessive, debauched live shows, earn a reputation of absolute credibility & authenticity. The band’s Don’t Give A Damn tour kicks off in the UK today at London’s Nambucca before heading across the UK and Europe, followed by the US and Japan later this year.
