Morning Sun is the brand new single and video from Leeds, UK’s The Yalla Yallas. The track is taken from their upcoming fifth album, What It Means To Be Human, that is scheduled for release this Summer. Long term fans may recognise a shift in direction. This time around the band are drawing their inspiration from the likes of Brian Eno, Primal Scream and The Chemical Brothers.
During the recording of Morning Sun the band used a set of Brian Eno’s ‘Oblique Strategy’ cards to aid the production of the album. The cards are designed to encourage creative thinking and saw band members playing in total darkness or swapping instruments. Morning Sun has already found itself on its way to the moon after being invited to be brought onto an ‘Astrobotic’ space mission where it will be awaiting the next humans that are scheduled to land in 2024. This chapter in the The Yalla Yallas history see’s them at their most creative, most daring, and most free. The band are not planning any album launch gigs and are not planning on performing any of the songs live.
Morning Sun is now available via streaming platforms and is also available to download from The Yalla Yallas, the single also Includes an exclusive remix by Petrol Bastard.
