Punk trio Trash n’ Privilege have unveiled their frank and unwaveringly pertinent new single, Best That You’re Dead, that is now available via streaming platforms via Manic Kat Records. On Best That You’re Dead, the California crew vent their grievances on the divisive nature of modern life and the inability for balanced discussion. But amidst the depth and introspection, the sonic output is textbook Trash N Privilege; passionate, expressive punk, laced with urgency and melody, an energetic and highly charged anthem, as timely as it is embracing.
“The lyrics draw from this phenomenon of people being ostracized from their family or friends because they disagree on politics or religion. Which I find completely antithetical to politics and religion. We have to be able to agree to disagree. We all have seen it, experienced it, maybe done it. Rejecting a close friend or family member as if they died over an opinion is bonkers to me. Opinions change, people change. Let’s not be so fast to write one another off.” (vocalist Steve Shepard)
