Zache Davis Reveals Debut Solo Album “The Sting”
The Los Angeles musician and multi-instrumentalist Zache Davis has released his debut full length, The Sting, via Egglord Records. Zache Davis began his musical career in Seattle as a mainstay in the local punk scene, playing and touring with the post-punk band The Girls. Davis relocated to Los Angeles in 2008, later forming and fronting his own groups Maniac and Weird Numbers.
The punk extrovert turned songwriting introvert has been writing more melodic, thoughtful, and complex compositions over the past few years. The Sting, Davis’s first complete solo studio album, is a rambunctious and punk-adjacent record of songs about self-love and self-loathing. “The Sting was an opportunity to write songs without the pressure to fit the molds of previous bands. Instead of being genre focused, I focused on how each song made me feel.”
