Bullitz 23 – Burn EP

Here it comes!!!  The latest EP by Bullitz 23 that is. This is the second instalment after the 2023 ‘Ballad Of Jim Bones’ barn stormed our world. Do you like a little Punk Rock, do you crave some Celtic Folk, is it melodic gnarly wonderfulness that gives you goose bumps when you hear it, and has you wishing this was a Scottish Cèilidh with a difference, well here we go…..

‘Burn’ smashes straight in with an SLF riff like entrance, this is coupled with a vocal of pure Scots angst, a sense of pride in the music and tradition is never far away here, its refreshing to here punk sung where the local accent isn’t lost in an American twang, this is melodic revolution at its brilliant best.  When the dust settles…. actually it never will if this band has anything to do with it, its full throttle into the next track ‘Karma’ a bass driven attack on the eardrums that takes no prisoners, in fact its the bass thats the earworm here, the vocal has so much passion it just wants to explode out of the confines of the speakers, and lets not forget the Topper Headonesque drums that come at you like a machine gun.

Did we make it to the final track already! ‘Still Not Dead’ finishes as quickly as it starts, its a tirade of emotional words and music thats driven by a need to tell you “still not dead, and we still got somethin to say”, the world will never get sick of music that delivers a left hook to the wankers in power and an uppercut to the doubters. This is an EP that you’ll find yourself hitting repeat on so many times, a firestorm of Celtic street punk thats made from the heart, and with more than its fair share of fuck you this is what Rock n Roll should sound like!!

Released on August 2nd, and get this record labels name Tartan Rex Records, class isn’t it.
