Dynamite Boy

Dynamite Boy - Fearless Records

Dynamite Boy has spent the last nine years of their lives making music, touring the country, and making friends all over the place. May 18th marked the release date of their third album on Fearless Records, and the twelve track self-titled album is chock full of high energy, toe-tapping, radio friendly songs that will get any punk/rock fan excited.

Right from the start, you know the album is going to be good. Starting off with a distorted guitar riff, Sam comes in smashing his drum sticks together as they jump right into it, “I smash my hands against the wall, you’re surprised it doesn’t fall“. And your first instinct turns out to be right. Dynamite Boy never slows down, they keep each song full of high energy melodies right to the end of the album. Now, don’t worry. Not all the songs sound the same. Each song is distinctively different from the previous and the forthcoming track. Take the difference of Long Since Forgotten, a slow, mellow, moving song about death and Zap, a catchy, sing along song. Both are very different, but at the same time, very entertaining. The lyrics are pretty simple and catchy, you can easily sing along only after a few listens without ever having looked at the booklet.

Dynamite Boy‘s self-titled album will be a CD that I will be able to listen to countless times without ever getting tired of it.
