Panic! At The Disco

A Fever You Can't Sweat Out! - Decaydance Records

Take Fall Out Boy. Kill them off. Reincarnate them and throw a keyboard into the mix. Do you know what you’d get? You’d get Fueled By Ramen‘s newest band Panic! At The Disco.

A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out seems to take the Fall Out Boy style and elaborate it. The main reason for this is the vocalists. Seriously, the vocalists sound exactly the same as one another. They hit the same harmonies, give the same feeling and follow the same structure. It’s somewhat creepy actually. It’s no wonder that Pete Wentz liked them and signed them to Decaydance Records.

Taking yet another page from Fall Out Boy‘s book, Panic! At The Disco have also graced every song with abnormally long names that are impossible to remember like Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without taking Her Clothes Off, There’s A Good Reason These Tables Are Numbered Honey, You Just Haven’t Thought Of It Yet or The Only Difference Between Martyrdom And Suicide Is Press Coverage.

They seem to take a different and ironic look at the ways of love and relationships, particularly with songs like I Write Sing Not Tragedies and Build God, Then We’ll Talk. But they’re aren’t afraid to give all the critics and little tongue-in-cheek sarcasm with London Beckons Songs About Money Written My Machines with lines like Well, we’re just a wet dream for the webzines, make us it make us hip make us scene or shrug us off your shoulders Don’t approve a single work we wrote.

A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out is pretty catchy pop-punk that most Fall Out Boy fans will enjoy. It’s not quite as catchy or upbeat, but the piano adds a nice touch and I’m sure most people will enjoy them.
