Sheer Terror Unleash “Squat Diddler” Single
On the eve on their May 2026 European Tour, NYC's SHEER TERROR have released their new single, Squat Diddler, that…
Call Me Armadeggon - Deathwish Inc.
If I could desrcribe this band in one word, it would easily be thrashy. It describes the entire album vividly. The songs are all erratic, and when it comes down to it, they simply were not good. But I could almost tolerate one or two. It’s the kind of music I’d use to pump myself up to slaughter a room filled with animal babies. With the exception of the terrible vocals, the rest of band isn’t all that bad. Now I wouldn’t say that the songs had any particular beat or rhythm, a lot like most thrash bands. Luckily for this band though, the drummer has mastered flailing his arms to randomly smash cymbals. If by some chance, he actually does play a beat, I’m willing to guess that the song wouldn’t sound half bad. Unfortunately, there’s none of that on this cd. The guitar riffs are completely non-existent on this album. The songs are dominated by bizarre power chords, random palm mutes, and a few high notes thrown in every few seconds. If there is by any chance a bass player, I couldn’t hear it at all, the other noise is far too overpowering. The vocals seem to be what makes this band. I was very surprised to find out that the screamer was actually saying words. Usually when you listen to a band you cant understand and you read lyrics, it all becomes clear what they’re saying. This is not the case with The Power and The Glory, his words are indecipherable.
So if you haven’t figured this out already, I simply do not reccommend buying this cd. I don’t even recommend keeping this cd if you find it somewhere. Its taken me a month to write this because I’ve been dreading the fact that I have to listen to more than one song by these guys. I can proudly say, I stuck it out for nine out of ten songs on the album. It may have given me a splitting headache and the urge to hurt people that make shitty music, but finally, its over. Fear the day that The Power and The Glory ever might become big, the last thing I want to hear is another track by them, unless of course they completely reverse their style.
