Bristol, UK noise punk quartet Heavy Lungs have announced that their long awaited debut album, All Gas No Brakes, will be released on the 29th September via Alcopop! Records on acid green limited edition signed vinyl. Recorded at Holy Mountain Studios with additional production at Humm Studios by producer Chris Fullard and assistant engineer Stanley Gravett, the album was mastered by Adam Gonsalves at Telegraph Audio. Serving as a flavour of things to come, the band have also released an official video for the album’s title track, which is out now on all good streaming platforms. Alongside the album and single, the band have also announced a run of October headline tour dates, and will also be appearing at this year’s Truck Festival.
“Well, well, well… they said it couldn’t be done, but look what just kicked you in the ass. Our debut album is coming out. It’s a dancer and it’s a prancer, and hopefully it’s a life enhancer. We recorded it way back in 2021 with head wizard, Wiz, and his jester Stan for some extra magic and spice, and it’s been a long old wait, but only another 3 months and it’s yours!”

“Ah yes the life affirming smell of service station Greggs, the casino bit you never go in, the numb buttocks of the long late night drives, the longing glances exchanged with strangers in McDonalds queue, gallons of van temperature piss, the cathartic bliss of performing, olympic loads ins, disco loadouts, green rooms, blue mondays, the warm embrace of the fans. In other words: perfection we cannot wait to experience again. Brazil will have to wait but the lucky residents of the cities below are in for the grandest show on earth—Heavy Lungs live and uncut.”

Heavy Lungs will be revealing new music, details of the album, and further live dates over the coming months.
