David Delinquent Releases “Scared To Spend” EP
Dundee’s David Delinquent (The Delinquents / David Delinquent & The IOU’s / Football, Beer & Punk Rock Podcast) has self released a brand new EP, Scared…
Feminist feral theatre punks Twat Union have today released their new single, Red Flag, via Alcopop! Records, the track delivers a satirical take on their experiences in the modern dating scene and is taken from their hotly anticipated debut EP, Don’t Look It In The Eye, which will be released on the 4th April. Part punk gig, part comedy show, the band will be celebrating the EP release at one of their increasingly notorious live performances on 5th April at London’s The Lexington.
“‘Red Flag’ is a song about all the dating nightmares we experience when, despite the warning signs, we just keep dating ’em anyway. We reckon there’s a bit of comedy in the contradiction there, so thought we’d write some music about it. It was one of the first songs we worked on more collaboratively for the lyrics, playing the riff and going around the rehearsal room all saying different red flags we had encountered – some were ridiculous, some pretty dark, and we chucked in one from Winston Churchill just for good measure.”
Twat Union‘s live shows are a chaotic punk experience unlike any other. There will be props, there will be line dancing, there will be shouting and there may even be a raffle (if you’re lucky). The band recently announced UK tour dates throughout April along with festival appearances, including Bearded Theory Festival and Rebellion Festival.
